Our sources are stating, but won’t give a hard confirmation, that Robinson Cano will be suspended for 50 games for steroid use.  Not confirmed, but more than a rumor.

Remember folks, him and Melky Cabrera, suspended earlier this season for 50 games, is one of his closest friends from his time with the Yankees.

UPDATE 4:46PM CST – Several sources coming out saying these are rumors.  Seems it’s leaning toward false, but still no official word from the Yankees.

UPDATE 10:39 CST – Latest news is Cano stating: “There’s no test or anything” (in the worst broken English possible).  So I guess as of now we’re taking his word?  Carry on.
