As we tweeted earlier, Jason Giambi is on the schedule for an interview with the Colorado Rockies manager position. Giambi played the 2009-2012 seasons with the Rockies, and recently underwent hernia surgery to possibly continue his playing career. At 41, Giambi is most likely done with his career, but looking to stay in the game.
We don’t see this being the likely choice for the Rockies, who finished with the third worst record in the League, at 64-98. Giambi has never had any coaching experience and the Rockies seem to be entertaining Giambi with an interview. No chance he’s their choice. We’ll keep you updated as more information becomes available.
